Headliners (UK) London team are delighted to be able to extend our Safe Spaces project in London, kindly funded by the Edward Gostling Foundation.

Over the course of 12 months, the project will support 45 young people across London in raising their voice and developing their skills to improve their emotional wellbeing.

The Safe Spaces London project consists of five to ten sessions that work towards building young people’s confidence and providing them with a safe space to build networks and challenge the world around them. Sessions will cover a range of topics including – but not limited to – discrimination, body positivity, and mental health.

Multimedia content creation is at the heart of this project. Using film, photography, podcasting, and/ or blogging, the young people will be given a platform to develop their voice and catalyse their interest in the community. The young people will also be given the opportunity to work towards OCN accreditation in Journalistic Interviewing Skills as well as Photography.
