News Diana Award Winner - Aodhán Roberts Headliners Northern Ireland are very proud to be able to share the news that after nominating Aodhán Roberts for the 2021 edition of The Diana Award at the start of 2021, he was rewarded yesterday for his contribution to the Derry/Londonderry community. When Aodhán joined Headliners at the start of 2020, he took part in the production of our short legacy film 'Lyra McKee: One Year On' (sadly put on the shelf since then because of the pandemic). He also led debates with our Foyle Bureau in a podcast series created by Headliners Northern Ireland during the first lockdown. Along with his peers, he encouraged young people to voice their concern on topics crucial to this city, topics such as mental health, education facilities and unemployment. On his own initiative, Aodhán also directed and edited short films about the sense of community found in the city and people coming together in times of need. Congratulations, and as we say, 'keep 'er lit' Thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund for their ongoing support in enabling us to help young people find their voice and achieve themselves.
