What is it?

On Thursday 16th February, Headliners (UK) is hosting an exciting London Green Champions tree planting event. The social action event will include activities which will encourage you to have a positive impact on your local environment. This event is free to participate and is open to young people aged 11-15 years old who share a passion for their environment and community.

From 12pm, we will meet outside main reception of Haberdashers' Hatcham College, SE14 5SF, where we will walk to Telegraph Hill (Upper) park. We will conduct a litter pick in and around the park, learn more about the green-space and wildlife we observe before planting and labelling our tree saplings. There will be an opportunity to explore the scenery and practise some wildlife photography whilst enjoying some snacks onsite.

  • Free Lunch included
  • Meet new friends who also care about the environment
  • Learn and practise new skills e.g. Tool management, wildlife identification, tree planting and photography.
  • Make a difference to wildlife and the wider community
