Headliners (UK), an award winning youth charity, is looking for a number of passionate and reliable individuals to motivate, lead and support teams of 13 young people in October 2020 on the NCS programme in South Tyneside.

NCS brings together young people aged 15 to 17 from different backgrounds in a programme of exciting personal and social development activities where they will make new friends, learn skills for life, develop independence and design and implement their own social action projects in their community. They will have a platform to have their voice heard and will be able to access many opportunities beyond the summer programme. Headliners (UK) is a Delivery Partner for the NCS programme.

There are two different roles that you can apply for and we have several vacancies – Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders. 

In the Assistant Team Leader role you will support a team of up to 13 young people during the repurposed Autumn NCS ‘Making Our Voices Heard’ programme over 9 days (1 full week of delivery Monday 26th to Friday 30th October 2020, and the subsequent 4 Saturdays). You will need to be available to deliver all 9 days of the programme plus compulsory 2-day training (which will be 10th and 11th October 2020). Delivery of the programme will be from South Shields Football Club.

You will earn £550 for delivery of programme (£8.72 per hour, 7 hours a day for 9 days). A one off nominal payment of £64 will be paid for attendance at training.

These posts are ideal if you are looking to gain more experience working with young people and will give you the leadership and planning skills that will help you excel in any employment.
