Nature is important for our health and wellbeing. However, not all young people are able to access the nature around them. While this can be due to many factors, Raymond reports on the need and lack of nature within the national curriculum, and how this can contribute to young people accessing nature later on in their lives.

Young people want to get more involved with the environment.

It's hard to get involved in such an important issue unless you are actively aware or searching for it (although global awareness is definitely increasing). There was very little practical work in school that made use of what little green space we have available in London/urban areas.
