Our Projects Current projects London Green Champions: NLCF To celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Headliners (UK) is delighted to be delivering our London Green Champions project which has received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK We have been awarded funds to help bring our community together to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee and to support community-led activities in Hackney, Islington, Tower Hamlets and Lewisham. The project works with young people aged 11-25 years from communities across London who are interested in the natural environment and share concerns regarding its decline. We use multi-media to enable the young people to learn skills in photography, podcasting, video creation and editing to showcase their learning and gain OCN accreditation. London Green Champions consists of a mixture of classroom and field trips across London's green spaces. The young people are enabled to explore how the green spaces around them have changed over the 70 years of Her Majesty’s reign; will learn new skills and we amplify their voices as they create stories, films and resources to highlight the benefits of green spaces and nature. Our project links to the Platinum Jubilee theme of Our Shared Natural World - deepening our care and action locally for the natural world. If as a young person you would like to take part in this project, please contact our Project Officer, Chloe Ly on [email protected] Thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund and the players of the National Lottery for supporting this unique project.
