As part of the London Green Champions project, we are inviting 12-19 year olds interested in the natural world to join our Autumn Action Programme this Half-term.

What is it?

The Autumn Action Programme are 3-days of FREE trips and activities which will encourage you to have a positive impact on your local environment. The programme is set across 3-days, in different green-spaces and sites across London and is open to all young people who want to share their passion for the environment.

Tuesday 25th October - Trip to Walthamstow Wetlands2 Forest Rd, London N17 9NH.

From 1pm - A tour of the wetlands site, an internationally important nature reserve with important habitats for wetland birds, birds of prey and insects. This trip will include nature-based activities from wildlife identification (think - peregrine falcons, newts and massive dragonflies) to talks about the environment and our emotional well-being. From 10:30am - An exciting, hands-on morning building your own wildlife-friendly structures to attract more biodiversity into your local green-spaces. From the choice of bird houses or bug hotels, you will be introduced to wood-work and the various ways you can build for nature.
