Senior Youth Mentors and Youth Support Workers

Headliners (UK), an award winning youth charity, is looking for a number of passionate and reliable individuals to motivate, lead and support teams of 15 young people from July to August 2017 on the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.  There are two different roles that you can apply for and we have several vacancies – Senior Youth Mentor and Youth Support Worker. The programme is part residential based and part community based and you will need to be available for some evening and weekend working.

You will encourage and coach the 16 and 17-year-olds during this unique opportunity over four weeks in the summer from the first residential outdoor adventure activities through to graduation. You will help the young people to develop skills for their future world of work through a series of challenging activities and social mixing where they will plan and deliver their own social action projects in their community.

You will lead and motivate a team of 15 young people aged 16 and 17 in a range of activities during 4 weeks in July or August earning up to £1,800.  There is a minimum 4 week commitment plus compulsory training.
