Digital Transitions Project Assistant - Kickstart Apprentice

Headliners (UK) is looking to recruit a Kickstart Apprentice to support our Digital Transitions project in the North East.

Our role is part of the Government's Kickstart scheme that provides funding to employers to create jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit.

The role of Digital Transitions Project Assistant would be part of the Headliners (UK) North East NCS Team and would report directly to the Digital Transitions Project Officer. This officer is responsible for the operational delivery of the Headliners (UK) Digital Transitions project operations.

The Digital Transitions Project Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting the delivery of Digital Transitions project activity across the North East. The project focuses on supporting care leavers and care experienced young people to transition into employment or training. The project support the development of life skills including self-organisation, confidence building, life planning, money management and employability development skills

The role responsibilities involve a strong focus on programme activity and event / session planning and operational use of resources across the Digital Transitions planning and delivery.

These key areas are:

  • Recruitment of project participants and their sign up onto the project
  • Individual Support Programmes planning
  • Session Delivery and project Support
  • Media Outputting, social media and story publications on website.

Key Responsibilities will include some but not all of the below (subject to time of year):

  • To support with the Digital Transitions Project Officer with the Young People sign up process at the start of each cohort through administration and communications activities.
  • To coordinate and support the Young People wellbeing activities and calls by the Project Officer
  • Write up individual actions plans on the project.
  • To support with the planning and delivery of all Digital Transitions project delivery, and communications.
  • To assist the Digital Transitions Project Officer with the delivery and logistics of project delivery scheduling and new group development.
  • Undertake routine activities and communications including working alongside the Digital Transitions Project Officer to edit and create youth-led media content and social media content.
  • Supporting the management of equipment and resources on the project under COVID secure operations.
  • To support the Digital Transitions Project Officer with our Partnership Engagement activities and development.
  • Carry out admin functions to support all aspects of the Digital Transitions project delivery.

Number of hours a week: 25 hours

Rate of pay: National minimum wage
