Autism: a Blessing and a Curse In Northern Ireland, 1 in 30 children have a diagnosis of Autism. In this film, we hear the story of the Autism Unit at St Brigid's College / Coláiste Bhrídeand the success stories within. It the only unit of its kind based in the North West. Past and present pupils from the Autism unit highlight the importance of such a resource in the region. Pupils travel far and wide to attend St Brigid’s College for its unique learning and development facilities. The film was produced by young people involved in the Headliners project in Derry/Londonderry, including Oscar, Emmet, Sean, Carter, Susan, Ruairi, Daniel, William, Michal, Charlie, Ben, Dean and Paddy. It was supported by St Brigid’s College and the film was made possible through funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
