If I were in charge of the world
The world would look very different if young people were in charge. Gabby, 12, wishes she were in charge of the world.
If I were in charge of the world, I would give all the homeless people a home to live in, because at the moment there are many houses and flats being built. Then they can get an address and apply for a job.
When they get jobs, then they could start paying rent and then start paying tax! But I would make the government put all the rent prices down to a minimum price. Because at the moment not that many people can afford to pay these huge prices just to live in their homes. It spoils things because parents can’t afford to do fun activities with their children out in the open air.
I would make more parks for children to play in so they’re not stuck at home doing nothing. I would also organise trips to different countries so children and adults can do more things together.
While the homes for the homeless people are being built I would put them all in huge tents. Then I would give them dogs from the dogs home to give the dogs new owners and someone to love them.
I would also make schools put their lunch prices down so they’re only at a minimum price. I would also say that you could have two days a week where pupils could get their lunch free.
I would also ask the kids about what sort of decoration they want in the school and also have highly trained teachers to come and teach the children because some of the teachers tell the children to go away or sometimes swear at them.
