Women's Battle For Empowerment

Janagha Aboozari, 18 denounces the way women are being treated in Afghanistan where violence takes the place of justice.

The reason for making this video is that, as a young Afghani man, I feel sad about the way women are treated in my country – even though I’m not responsible. I have made this to denounce the way women are being treated in Afghanistan where violence takes the place of justice.

This has been my first experience making a film and I had a lot of fun producing it. Choosing the right pictures to illustrate the documentary was a real challenge and recording the voiceover took a while to get right.
