Pride But Not Prejudice

Aaron Crossey, 15, finds our society is still being plagued by sectarianism.

This was my first assignment in Headliners, so don’t expect a well-written documentary. I don’t remember how the idea came to me. I have a memory of watching a news report about a sectarian attack and being surprised by it.

I thought people were past that sort of thing but then I searched the net and found that such attacks happened every day in countries around the world. From this news report I realised just how present prejudice is in our society.

I really enjoyed working on this project and I think I learned a lot about the preparation and planning that goes into a film.
