Global Eye 2008
A launch at Stormont which marks the end of our three year Global Eye project.

In the year 2000 the United Nations introduced what it calls the eight Millennium Development Goals. These goals range from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date of 2015.
They form a blueprint agreed to by all the world’s nations and all the world’s leading development agencies. Headliners decided to help make people more politically aware by carrying out a three year education project of our own.
This year, which was the final year of our project, Headliners members from our Belfast and Foyle news rooms produced a magazine exploring, through political cartoons what the Millennium Development Goals meant to them.
The magazine was launched at Parliament Buildings, Stormont in Northern Ireland on the 20th of March 2008.
