When Cultures Meet
A photography exhibition by young people from different ethnic backgrounds who live in and around Foyle.
The photographic art exhibition, When Cultures Meet, features work created by young people from ethnic minority groups within North West Ireland, highlighting their experiences of coming to terms with their new lives in Derry and Letterkenny. This project also explores cultural differences and language barriers. Young people from Poland, Ghana, Iran, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Headliners have participated in this unique project.
This piece of work explores the concept of the North West becoming a "multi-cultural society", a society that is inclusive of all for all.
