'Education is the right of every child'
Two young people from Kenya tell Headliners why the campaign for global education is so important.
A growing number of individuals and organisations are campaigning for the right of every child across the globe to go to school.
Comic Relief, as part of their Send My Friend campaign, invited two Kenyan schoolgirls to Europe to help highlight the issue. As well as talking to teachers at a conference in Birmingham, Joyce Ayuma, 12, and Winne Ahambo, 13, went to Brussels to speak at a summit of World Leaders, where they met Gordon Brown among others.
They also spent time at a school in Hertfordshire, and the opportunity to see some of the sites in London. Despite their hectic schedule, Headliners' reporter Pamwan Osemwal, aged 18, managed to catch up with Joyce and Winne at the Natural History Museum in London.
