what would change if you were in charge of parliament?
If I were in charge of...Parliament
| I would let 14-year olds vote in elections. |
Parliament is a big bore because it is just part of the adult world. It is not an important thing to teenagers because during elections we do not have a say on who we think would be a good leader.
If I was a member of Parliament I would let us vote. Why? Because we teenagers want to make sure that we have a better future. I would let 14-year olds vote in elections. This means I would be able to vote in January.
I used to watch Parliament on TV on a Saturday and saw that women's point of view did not count. I feel women and men are not treated the same. There are so many men in Parliament and so few women. Do you think that is fair?
I think Parliament is dull. So I would spice it up and stop politicians being so uptight. I would give the public more of an insight into parliament and get young people to come and put their views forward. I would pay attention to people who are less fortunate and do my best to help them. I would visit people who are being ill treated and are in foster homes and people on the streets. This is what I would do.
Vote for me and you will have a better future. Thank you.
