If I were in charge of...England

How would things be different if you were in charge of the country?

Paying the Royal family is probably the main cause of homeless people.

If I were in charge of England, the royal family would have to go, seeing as they are a big problem in terms of how much money they use up.

When Charles and Camilla were on television getting married recently, everyone was talking about their love life. How many normal people can just go on television and talk about their perfectly ordinary love life? And more importantly, how many normal people can spend millions of pounds on a wedding? I'd say just about none.

I live in England and this country has a lot of issues about money. They say money makes the world go round, but they also say that it doesn't bring you happiness. I think being royal makes you different. The Queen for example, has been a member of the royal family since the day she was born. She is used to being around money. I don't know how much money goes to her but I think it is millions.

Paying the Royal family is probably the main cause of homeless people. I live in Hackney, and there are some homeless people. I have heard people calling them 'tramps', which I think is wrong because no-one would like to be called that.

Imagine the things people on the streets are going through. They're probably cold, lonely, scared and hungry. I feel sorry for them.

Extremely high nursery fees are another problem in England for parents who can't afford it.

Maybe the royal family can even be held responsible for stealing because if all of our money wasn't going to them, then there would be more money for homeless people and parents. People don't steal if they have money.
