Answer the question – School holidays
Are school summer holidays too long?
| Summer holidays should be never ending! |
I think the length of school summer holidays are just right but the problem is what to do: unless you go away on holiday. Trying to find something to do is a lot harder than it sounds. For young people in cities it is now getting harder to find activities because areas that could be parks are now getting built on. Cinemas are sometimes too expensive and many films are unsuitable for my age group. As well as that it would be useful if there was more information about what is available for young people during the summer.

The summer holidays are far too short. However saying that, there is nothing for young people to do. I did find out that for those fourteen and over there are summer universities where you can choose classes you'd like to attend.
But for many people in my area of North London there is nothing to do. People complain about kids hanging around in parks and street corners. Young people get bored and commit crimes that they would never do if they had somewhere to go.

Can you remember those long dreary days of summer? Think really hard - yeah I can't remember them either. Easter holidays on other hand are a bit of a drag, two days of gobbling chocolate eggs and the rest is just filled with rain.
Here's a great idea. Take one week off the boring old Easter holidays and add it to the fun-filled summer holidays what do you get? One more week of summer fun! Smart huh?

The summer holidays are long enough. I think that people shouldn't make them any shorter because children can't spend every single day in school without having a holiday. We all need a rest and if you have holidays like the summer 6 weeks holiday you will have time to visit your family go on holiday and chill out. In the holidays I think there is not a lot of activities although sometimes there are leaflets handed out at school about things to do.

Summer holidays should be never ending! The weather is usually better and there are lots of summer schemes and activities to fill the time and if you want to lie in your bed all day just for fun it is ok because there are plenty of other days to get up for.
