Meet our trustees

Our trustees are volunteers responsible for the accountability of Headliners, and make sure we are operating within budget and according to our objectives.

Carolyn Bresh, Treasurer

Carolyn has over 20 years experience in finance, working for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Blenheim Exhibitions and more recently at Reuters, where she held a variety of senior finance roles in London and New York. Last year, she became a Director/Partner at Everymind, a consultancy which helps growing business especially get their finance teams into shape.

Irene Dibben

Irene DibbenIrene is a former HR director for Reuters; and now is vice chairman of the East Sussex Hospitals Trust.

Nora Greer

Nora GreerNora is a consultant working in the public and voluntary sector in the areas of education and the arts in Northern Ireland. She is chair of the Belfast Bureau Advisory Board.

Andy Hamflett

Andy HamflettAndy is chief executive of the UK Youth Parliament and a former journalist and employee of Headliners.

Amina Kibria, graduate trustee

Amina KibriaAmina is a graduate of the original pilot of Headliners in 1994. She studied law at University of Westminster and now works as a solicitor. She chairs the Members’ Advisory Board.

Maureen Marlowe

Maureen MarloweMaureen, who spent most of her career at Reuters in a variety of senior marketing and management roles, was latterly the Director of Reuters Foundation. She is now a part time consultant in the Arts sector and a Governor at a primary school in West London.

Annabel McLeod, graduate trustee

Annabel McLeodAnnabel is one of our graduate trustees. She was a member of Headliners from August 2001 and interviewed David Blunkett and Fiona MacTaggart among many highlights. She now works for the Guardian as a web uploader and is a production assistant on Big Brother.

James Michael, graduate trustee

James MichaelJames is one of our graduate trustees, having been a member of Headliners since July 2003 where he wrote a number of articles published in the national media. He also completed work experience on the Sunday Telegraph and Express newspapers. He is currently at University of Sheffield studying History and Politics.

David Seymour

David SeymourDavid is a journalist and writer. He spent most of his career at the Daily Mirror, becoming Group Political Editor before leaving at the start of 2006. He has also worked for the Daily Mail and Today newspapers; and is a regular contributor on BBC Five Live and Sky News among others.

Maggie Taggart

Maggie TaggartMaggie is a Senior Broadcast Journalist with BBC Northern Ireland and is the Education and Arts Correspondent.

Arwyn Thomas, Chair

Arwyn ThomasArwyn is a senior management consultant. Prior to this he was Executive Director of Programmes and Regions for the Prince’s Trust where he worked for nine years. He was responsible for the development and delivery of the Trust’s programmes across the UK.

Jo Weston, Company Secretary

Jo is a partner at Simmons & Simmons law firm.
